Why dog coats with lights?

It all started when we got our first four-legged family member, a black Labradoodle named Mabel. She's such a good girl! Once she was old enough, her and I joined the neighborhood "dog walkers". We get together with our dogs at 7am every day and take them over to the school yard behind our houses. We let them run and play until their hearts are content.  However, sometimes they get a little dirty! My solution was to get her a coat to try to keep her somewhat clean. Perfect! Problem solved! Or was it?  It's (usually) still dark and Mabel is completely black!  I bought her a lighted collar for her to wear in addition to her coat, but her fur tends to cover it, so it was still a challenge to keep track of her in the dark. Like anyone would, I took to the internet in search of a dog coat with built-in lights, an all-in-one solution! Lights would be more visible on her back then around her neck, right?

To my surprise, no such thing existed! So, I dusted off my sewing machine and got to work designing outwear for dogs with built in lights. What I came up with evolved into Lumi-Pups - illuminated outwear for your furry friend! Safety first and your pup stays clean too! I hope you and your furry friend enjoy them as much as Mabel and I do!
